New ADSL router

views

Starting from this evening LoneStar Network’s services are no longer provided by the old and glourous Zyxel 642R router, on continuous service for no less than 6 years.

I’ve just installed a new router, an Atlantis Land I-Fly Wireless Router. It’s a commodity device, but still much more advanced than the old Zyxel, espeacially because it supports ADSL2/ADSL2+ standards, required for new 7 or 20Mb/s lines.

At current time my line is still a 1280/256Mb/s link, but it might be updated shortly, therefore with this router we’re ready to go!

Network issues

views

This week I’ve been out of town for work (you’ll soon see new pics in my gallery) and just on these days my Adsl router decided to hang 🙁

The interruption lasted a couple of days until someone has been able to reset it and restore access to websites and mail service.

I am sorry for the inconvenience!

New video galleries

views

I’ve started the Video Galleries section, a special Xoops module which allows to create videoclip galleries taken from YouTube, Google Video, etc. and classify them in categories adding comments, rating, charts and other nice features.

For registered users it’s also possible to send links to videos of their choice to add them to the collection.

I hope you like it!

Upgrade again

views

I’ve updated Xoops to version 2.0.18.1, just like previously announced.

Actually it’s really a small upgrade touching functions which should have no impact on modules’ functionality (just maybe even fixing some small incompatibilites previously found), so I’m expecting to see no issues.

Anyway, please immediately inform me if you should find any error.

XOOPS update

views

I’ve just updated Xoops to version 2.0.18, the latest in the 2.x serie.

Seems like everything is working just like before, but you never know, since there are parts of the website that aren’t used too often for sure.

So I ask you to let me know if you should find errors or bugs or any other problems, allowing me to see what to do in order to fix them. Thanks!
